Today is the thirty-eighth anniversary of the passing of Agatha Christie. I could not let it pass without mentioning her in ‘Salute!’ for her work, as Agatha Christie, which gave me, and continues to give others, many happy hours trying to figure out intriguing puzzles, that once explained, made you wonder why you hadn’t seen that. She was wonderful at misdirection. The only solution I ever arrived at before the revelation was in Murder on The Orient Express; Murder on The Orient Express was also the only one of her mysteries that disappointed me. Everything else was just wonderful fun.
