Yesterday No More

Yesterday, No Longer

There was once when I sang songs
To move the tedium of day along.
My voice was strong, my notes hit clear;
Heaven stooped to move more near.
I sang of love ,requited, and lost;
I sang of hearts calmed, and tossed
I sang of the moon, Diana’s chair,
I sang of him, my soul share.
But voice and he are now long gone;
Time to move this derelict along.

About elrondsilvermaul

I never know what to say about myself. I let what I write try to speak as to who I am. I can only add, here, that I am 72, live in a nursing home, am twenty years a cancer survivor, and identify as a gay male. I intend to use this blog as storage for poems? written over the long years (and still being written). This does not preclude other uses.
