100 Words- May 7, 2015

The smell of bacon, sizzling, woke him. With only a hint of reluctance, he threw off the covering sheet and stumbled, naked, towards the bathroom. A hot soaping and cold rinse would rinse would banish the fog in his head.

He hummed as he soaped, the thought running through his mind that after ten years of cohabitation, felt as loved, and in love, as he had from the first.  Incredible

When he entered the kitchen, Mark was setting the table.

“Bacon and you! This must be heaven“, he said, gathering Mark into his arms and suckling his neck.

Life was  good.

I never know what to say about myself. I let what I write try to speak as to who I am. I can only add, here, that I am 72, live in a nursing home, am twenty years a cancer survivor, and identify as a gay male.
