100 Words- May 20, 2015

Come June, it will be the forty-sixth year of the Stonewall Riots. That was the day gay people in the United States found the balls to say, “Fuck it, we ain’t takin’ your shit no more.” Fitting that June of this year might be the year that gay people have their right to marry be affirmed under the Constitution. I say might because, as much as the majority of the population favors the move, The Supreme Court is loaded with at least three anti-homosexual “Christians” who might encourage two less dogmatic justices to not vote in favor of the idea.

About elrondsilvermaul

I never know what to say about myself. I let what I write try to speak as to who I am. I can only add, here, that I am 72, live in a nursing home, am twenty years a cancer survivor, and identify as a gay male. I intend to use this blog as storage for poems? written over the long years (and still being written). This does not preclude other uses.
