100 Words- June 28, 2015- Pride Parade

This is being handwritten here at the Community Center, The Senior part of the Center doesn’t open till 9:30 (it’s now 8:30). The parade starts at noon; I didn’t want to be late?   I’ll just sip my cup of coffee and watch the city workers set up the street for the parade.

I haven’t read the estimates for parade attendance, but given the recent Supreme Court ruling, I’m estimating an increase to the usual large crowd.

My gut is suggesting this will be the last Pride Parade I will attend. I’m hampered by age, and my walker. Next year will be worse.

About elrondsilvermaul

I never know what to say about myself. I let what I write try to speak as to who I am. I can only add, here, that I am 72, live in a nursing home, am twenty years a cancer survivor, and identify as a gay male. I intend to use this blog as storage for poems? written over the long years (and still being written). This does not preclude other uses.
