100 words- July 4,

Public officials, in America, are elected/appointed under civil authority, not religious.  In fact, our Constitution makes no provision for for religious approval of any of its civil provisions/rulings.  Appointees, whether elected  or appointed, are bound, by their acceptance of office, to enforce/obey all civil rulings/provisions with all strength and due speed.  They may state their personal opinions, and they may even seek to change whatever laws and provisions, but by law, not by personal fiat  Their failure to operate in their Office according to law because of personal opinion based on private philosophical grounds makes their right to office void.

About elrondsilvermaul

I never know what to say about myself. I let what I write try to speak as to who I am. I can only add, here, that I am 72, live in a nursing home, am twenty years a cancer survivor, and identify as a gay male. I intend to use this blog as storage for poems? written over the long years (and still being written). This does not preclude other uses.
